A director of scouting slam dunk success (IMO, KC keeps adding impressive talent, KC had 3 studs OGs available in free agency and lost Albert)....I like KCs makeup - factor in former defensive coordinator, and position coach that knows about fitting players into positional coaching expectations...

I think this would be exciting.  Seems people just think he's going to the Bears but I wonder if Wolfe nudges him here.

Ballard is linked to Frank Reich. Is Reich on the Bears radar yet?

It's hard to see these 2 names added to the GM list and not think Marrone is a lock to be head coach

2 more highly regarded candidates out of the picture. I would have really liked to see Pace get the job. I think we have interviewed a good group. If someone else does not come out of the woodwork I think we will hear about a hire soon.

I know he was a Casserly hire in Washington and then Casserly brought him to Houston with him. I also know he has ties that go back to the 1990s with Marrone they are supposed to be close.

Ballard turns down interview with jets. He was my favorite candidate.

Just ignores the fact that these execs turn down everyone, not just the Jets. It's not a Jets thing. But that doesn't fit the LOLJets mantra.

Trent Kirchner - Seattle

Bill Kuharich - Cleveland 

Rick Mueller - Philadelphia

Chris Grier - Miami

Rod Graves - Jets

I don't think Grier has been interviewed yet. I believe it will be done on Tuesday.

As far as the ranking I think how accurate the bad Marrone interview report is greatly effects the order.

Thanks. Very interesting article. Loved reading about their college scouting process. Very well-defined structure, very well thought out. I have a feeling it's a bit more professional than the recent Jets approach. I wonder how he would manage the pro player evaluation process.

funny (well not really). a friend of mine who's a jets fan, but doesn't follow closely like people on this site, sent me this same link saying how the jets are a disaster. my response was - deadspin? lol

then i had to explain to him how the article had no content and didn't mention stuff like decosta turning everyone down or ballard likely getting the bears job, etc.
