    I would also be OK with either but I have the other tandem on top. The K&O combo drop some for me when reports surfaced that Quinn was unsure Kirchner might not be ready for the big chair. They still say at #2 because if it does happens his concerns were alleviated somehow.

    I can't remember where I read it now, but there was an article that stated that Woody has told all coaching/gm candidates that he wants to hear from as many people as possible before naming finalists for each position. Casserly supposedly told them that there was no rush to just get it done study .

    You never know about these things. He could be a name that one of the prospective coaches mentioned or he could be a guy who was on the master list drawn up by the committee Wolf and Casserly are on. Or it could mean there wasn't a good feeling about any of the GM candidates. You could even speculate that Josh McDaniel or Greg Schiano is some sort of mystery stealth candidate! You can't really tell.

    Robinson scouting background is what Woody is looking for but that BA in mathematics should help with the other aspects of the GM job.

    The Jets official website has announced the coaches and GMs who were interviewed. That is a rather unusual twist. Assuming there is no stealth candidate for either position, you have to assume announcing the list at this time has some sort of meaning, either the process is complete or something else I can't imagine at this point

    Also, if none of the GM candidates tied to Marrone blew away the consultants, that might be a bad sign for the Marrone candidacy. Of course, we don't know what the late addition of Robinson means

    Jets now to interview Robinson from Tamp who spent 12 years in patriots scouting department.

    Man, this process will never end and is starting to feel like the process that landed us Craptastik, I mean Idzik.

    Patriots haven't drafted for shit with their 500 picks over the last 10 years (they should have an All star team with all the picks they hve every year). Starting to feel like we're about to settle for a lesser candidate again...

    This is round one of interviews. the Falcons reportedly told Rex that he would be brought back for a second interview as a finalist for their HC job. I think by the weekend, the Jets will announce 2-3 gm candidates getting a second interview, then they will choose.

    I just want to throw this out there. I think when it comes to college and pro personnel people along with coordinators the success or non success of their teams has little to no correlation to how they will personally succeed at the top job. It is a guessing game. It has to do with how their talents translate to the new job and not how they performed at the current one.

    I didn't think even though 4 candidates refused to interview with the Jets that anyone snubbed us. That was until I saw this tweet. I thought Pace was saying no to everyone and was set in NO. I was wrong he did dis us by interviewing for the Bear job.
