The DJax situation was different because we would've had to tie a big contract to him in the form of years and dollars. We would've been locked in with a guy who flashes gang signals after scoring. No thanks. With Harvin, you get nearly the same level of talent and can cut him after the year if he's either unproductive or acting like a fool. And only pay 7.1 million for THIS year.
The comparison is apples and oranges.
