Smith has recovered from a broken fibula suffered during training camp. Several NFL teams have made inquiries about Smith.
Smith has run the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds with a 40-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder excels in press coverage and is a converted wide receiver. He played wide receiver for the Carolina Panther and Seattle Seahawks.
Smith converted to cornerback at the suggestion of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who recruited him as a cornerback out of high school when Carroll was at USC. Smith wound up playing for Arizona State as a receiver.

this makes more sense. sounds like a physically gifted prospect, but we need immediate help, not another CB project, on the roster

We also lost Jeremiah George ILB after the Jags signed him off our P.S..
I knew we would lose several drafted (12) player's off our P.S.. You can't hide everyone.
