Re: Possible 2015 Jets Head Coaches
A couple of tidbits about Todd Bowles: he was the Jets defensive backs coach in 2000, and was interim head coach of the Phish for the last 3 games of 2011 after they fired Sparano (they went 2-1 in those 3 games).

You have to think Bowles is on everyone's short short list at this point

Will Fangio replace Harbaugh as HC?

At 5-4, the San Francisco 49ers are not out of the playoffs, but sitting three games behind the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West, any hopes are hanging on by a thread.
It's no secret that Jim Harbaugh wants a huge pay raise and that there is tension between the coach and front office, so he may very well not be back with the team next season, especially if the Niners finish the season on a bad note.
If Harbaugh moves on or is relieved of his duties during the offseason, will the 49ers turn to defensive coordinator Vic Fangio as their next head coach?
"Well, if things keep going the way they are, with the offense sputtering, Harbaugh muttering and that long-discussed contract extension for the head coach unlikely to materialize, shouldn't Fangio's time come here?" wrote Mychael Urban of the Examiner.
"Consider: He has an excellent rapport with not just his defensive charges, but all of the players. The Niners have said they won't place a premium on marquee-name value if and when they have to replace Harbaugh -- they rarely do, the lone exception being with Harbaugh himself, and that was necessitated by the slog of slugs that came before him. And finally, as with anything in life in sports, continuity brings comfort -- and usually success."
Of two things we can be pretty certain at this time: Harbaugh's job status will be one of the hotter topics as soon as the Niners season is over and Fangio figures to be one of the top candidates if Harbaugh leaves.

you sure you don't mean dan mullen? can't see a top program like UF taking a guy with no head coaching experience and minimal recent collegiate experience.

Re: Possible 2015 Jets Head Coaches
They'd love to have Dan Mullen, but that's unlikely. Quinn is a hot name for them right now, maybe on the 2nd tier still behind some other unrealistic big names

Monday night is a nice chance for Rex to get a trend-breaking win. His teams have been terrible after a win and terrible after a bye...

...and everything with the weather and relocation only plays to the #Jets benefit
Joe Caporoso @TurnOnTheJets · 30m 30 minutes ago
Again - If Rex gets these back to back primetime divisional wins, he is setting the table for a 5 game winning streak & getting his job back
Joe Caporoso @TurnOnTheJets · 30m 30 minutes ago
Is that right? I don't really think so but Woody will give him benefit of the doubt with a 5 game winning streak/strong finish #Jets

Always wonder what happens if Walls plays over an injured Milliner in wk 2 & TO mess doesn't happen & referees don't take 7 away in week 3
Joe Caporoso @TurnOnTheJets · 28m 28 minutes ago
#Jets had real chance to be 3-0 and pissed it away, on coaching in week 2 and on Geno/coaching and a little on referees in week 3
Geez, I'd love to see us win, but I want a coaching change too.

Re: Possible 2015 Jets Head Coaches
Doubt Rex is back even if we win out. Can't Imagine a scenario where he isn't canned on Black Monday. I think he's a great guy and teams will line up to hire him as DC, but you know.....
