Good news as far as I am concerned. I wonder if he could work with Idzk as his details guy or would want his own man?

He is just what this team needs a offensive minded hard a$$ to put our coddled players in line.

Question: (in all seriousness as I don't know)

Historically, if a HC is traded with time left on his contract, what is the usual return for said HC?

IS a first rounder within consideration or is it more likely a later round pick?

That's more or less how I see it. What's the point of getting a great cook and forcing him to make dinner with an empty cupboard?

Anyone know what contractual rights Harbaugh has in terms of blocking a trade? I suppose Jason at OverTheCap.com will address the Harbaugh rumors at some point, but until then it would nice to know how much this topic is just a beat writer or two exercising their imaginations.

I don't know this for a fact but I don't think a team can forcibly trade a coach. The way it normally works is the team lets the coach know he is free to agree on a contract with another team. While or before  that is done compensation is agreed upon by the 2 teams.
