Jet Moves made today!
The Jets have released Jalen Saunders WR / PR / KR & signed T.J. Graham. He was pretty good when he played @ NC State. I'm shocked we gave up on Saunders so quickly ? Maybe we should have kept Jacoby Ford ?

I'm shocked Saunders is gone that quickly. I don't know if I've seen on a team give up on that high a pick that quickly.

Re: Jet Moves made today!
I assume he will go to the practice squad. I can't see anyone claiming him at this point. my guess is he will be back eventually. this may have to do with nelson's injury and the need for a WR who can contribute to the passing game.
regardless, not a positive development for the player or the draft pick by idzik

Re: Jet Moves made today!
After seeing his size and play I'm shocked he was a 4th round pick. I didn't see speed that would set the little guy apart or moves to keep him from getting hurt.

WTF
Seriously, Bruce Ellington was sitting right there (went 2 picks later)...
Well, like I said...Rex to be fired this year, Idzik next, Jets are lost in space...some improvement from Mike T...at least he didn't cut his draft picks 4 weeks into their rookie season...when he had draft picks anyway...
Didn't take long for the wheels to come off the Idzik bus...

Yep, good move. Saunders is a big reason why the Jets are 1-3.

A Jets move that should have been made was the one the Bills made just seconds ago, benching an inept QB for a veteran.
But yeah, let's see what we have in a Young stud who Curses at his own fan base. Way to go Geno

Re: Jet Moves made today!
Jets also cut CB LeQuan Lewis and signed WR Chris Owusu. reports are Nelson's ankle injury could be serious, so it looks like they are adding some WR depth
also, Tommy Bohanon broke his collarbone. no move has been made yet, as the team will get a 2nd opinion tomorrow.

Re: Jet Moves made today!
If Bohanon goes on IR, we could use Sudfeld at fullback. I'd be surprised if we signed a FB off the street
Saunders may have had some lingering issues related to the mysterious accident from training camp, plus, Walt Powell looked like a potentially good PR

Jets throw in towel on 4th-rounder Saunders
Jets waived WR Jalen Saunders.
T.J. Graham has been signed in a corresponding roster move. The No. 104 overall selection of May's draft, Saunders goes down as an utterly wasted pick for a team with depth issues on both sides of the ball. Saunders, who missed a big chunk of the preseason after suffering a seizure, fell out of favor after muffing a punt in Week 3. 2014 is trending in the wrong direction for Gang Green.

As many of us are. But we are also frustrated about other aspects of the team.

Jets sign Chris Owusu

The Jets made some moves to shake up their receiving corps on Monday.
Fourth-round pick Jalen Saunders was dumped from the roster so the team could sign former Bills third-rounder T.J. Graham and the team announced a bit later in the day that they have also signed former Buccaneers wideout Chris Owusu.
Owusu was released by the Bucs last week when they signed Louis Murphy, ending a tenure with the team that stretched back to the 2012 season. Owusu played 17 games for the Bucs over that span, catching 16 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown.
There’s no question that the Jets need any help they can find for their passing game, but it’s hard to feel like Graham and Owusu are going to move the needle all that much. They should get chances to prove otherwise, however, as David Nelson hurt his ankle against the Lions and is expected to miss some time.
Cornerback LeQuan Lewis was released to make room for Owusu. According to the Jets, that’s the 31st transaction that Lewis has been involved in during his NFL career.

Re: Jet Moves made today!
You know I just don't know what to say... I am exasperated to say the least. 1-3 sux and we are seriously looking at 1-6. I was wishing we would be able to get to the playoffs but didn't really expect it (I guess I still have some SOJ syndrome in me).
The club is either going to get closer by this adversity or its going to explode esp. if Geno continues to play like Mark S. , sigh.
One bright spot NE got their asses kicked...

Conner has had a bit of the injury bug. As much as we like to run I'd like to see him stay healthy.

Surprised that we didn't resign Chad Young, unless he is already on someone's 53.
