Wow, a missed 23-yarder. Everything going the Jets' way.

Does it really have to be said for the 100th time?SackExchange wrote:Well, Rex hasn't brought out the best in Pryor.
Pryor is a STRONG SAFETY ONLY.
He is not and never has been an NFL caliber FS, but he COULD be one of the best SS in the league, if he's given a couple years to acclimate to the position.
This was never a deep, dark, secret - it was known BEFORE the 2014 NFL draft, but the Jets NEEDED an upgrade at SS, so Pryor was the logical draft choice - though HYATT™ would have preferred Bucannon for his upside and ball hawking abilities.
If a hybrid SAF was the desire, Bucannon was the right choice & AZ is finding out he wasn't as much of a project as he was predicted to be.

Was Worilds only franchised, not signed to a long term deal, right? Worilds and Orakpo will both be OLB FAs the Jets have to look at.

I completely, COMPLETELY agree. And I have said as much repeatedly.HYATT™ wrote:Does it really have to be said for the 100th time?SackExchange wrote:Well, Rex hasn't brought out the best in Pryor.

But it is clear REX has made the mistake of playing Pryor out of position.
How exactly does playing a first round pick out of position, and then benching him, demonstrate a defensive genius who gets the most out of every player?

And now an offsides on an onsides kick that the opposition recovers?
The Jets NEVER get that call in a game they need.

Nothing is going the way I wanted this game. This win just screws up the rest of the season for me now there is nothing left to root for but improvement of the younger players. I am sure Rex will play mostly vets to pad his stats and even ruin that for me.SackExchange wrote:And now an offsides on an onsides kick that the opposition recovers?

This game is fool's gold. The Steelers lost this game more than the Jets won it.

So, Martavis Bryant would have been a nice pickup.
Honestly, if the Jets blow this one, it would be perfect. Perfect. Every reason to fire Rex.

Who was Rex addressing with his F U as he was walking from the sidelines at the end?

Gee great win. 7 weeks to late. Hope they don't win more then 3 this yr. Team needs to pretty much be torn down.

Who knows but coming off the field like that it would not surprise me if Rex sounds like a arrogant A-hole in his press conference.SackExchange wrote:Who was Rex addressing with his F U as he was walking from the sidelines at the end?

It looked as if it was the official who called the penalty on him. Big fine coming.
This doesn't change anything. Ryan is still getting fired. Hopefully Amaro, Harvin, Decker, Ivory, etc can save Idzik's job.
I just saw on espnnewyork.com that Ryan is holding Tuesday and Wednesday practices next week unlike previous years when he gave the team all six days off. The CBA mandates four off days. I wonder if he'll take them to Dave & Buster's again before the Bills game?
just a thought............. the defensive secondary has blown coverages all year long with Landry back there who is supposedly the glue that holds it together. I'd like to see Pryor at SS and Jarrett at FS the rest of the season. Landry can come off the bench for three safety looks.

Just saw Westhoff on SNY, and he had predicted a 20-17 Jets victory on the radio prior to the game. He said that Rex does well against one dimensional opponents.

We have to root hard for the Raiders today. Who knows, maybe it's upset central today.
I agree with Sack, today was simply fools gold. We need to land that top pick in '15 in order to get #MARCUSMARIOTA

The Jets have been out coached every week for two months but today Mike Tomlin is making Rex Ryan look like Lombardi
