Good stuff! I'm not a Marrone proponent myself, but the notion that Mehta or any writer could have a sensible opinion on his qualifications is preposterous. I am guessing Marrone has also refused to dignify Mehta by talking to him in the past, and that is what has set MM off against him.
If a writer has an opinion about a prospective coach, something along the lines of, "Marrone's offense isn't ideal for this team as it's currently built"....that's one thing.
But Manish Mehta's writes in a tabloid, rumor mill, highly speculative manner. And his latest tweets regarding Marrone and Idzik show a blatant personal agenda he's promoting. He doesn't like either one of them, and resorts to personal attacks to make his point. I've read that Idzik blew him off during a presser, probably after a stupid question, and that's when Mehta went off the deep end on his personal crusade to tarnish Idzik.
I'm not a journalist, but I've gotta believe this violates some ethical code of behavior that respected journalists take seriously.
