If NYC really does get 3 feet of snow, it is going to be an epic mess. There's nowhere to put it all.

i don't think NYC will get 3 feet. probably closer to 12-18 inches. but Boston looks like it may get walloped

North-central, just south of the New Hampshire border. We tend to be a snow belt, anyway, being north and west of Boston.

NY area folks, be careful! I don't know how the city could handle the amount of snow they are talking.

Furthest south I could live is about Williamsburg, VA. Wife and I have talked about retiring there.

I'm a big fan of the stretch known as 30-A in South Walton County, FL. The gulf beaches are incredible. Nice laid back vibe there.

Now, some of the stuff you have to drive through to get there...

Yeah, I've seen some of what goes on in parts of Florida! It's like a giant sunny outdoor Walmart.

That said, I've been to parts of the Gulf coast I liked, the Clearwater/St. Pete area.

LOL Billy, Drop a zero off your taxes. Sack, Williamsburg is very touristy and it's still cold in the winter. We live in Winston-Salem and are still tired of the winter. When we sell our house we are moving to Vero Beach on the east coast of Florida. Outlaws live in Naples, so we have to be 3-4 hours away to keep them from bopping in !

I would still want some winter. That's the thing. I may not want the feet of snow, but I would want something of a winter, so Williamsburg is a good compromise.

We have been down there a couple times around Christmas/New Year's, once for our honeymoon.

Its been in the 60s out here in Reno also. Be safe everyone back East.

I don't miss my days working for Bklyn Union Gas/Keyspan/Natl Grid driving around in weather like this responding to phony gas leak reports when it was really a no heat complaint we would not have responded to.

Weather is fantastic here in Vegas... Thank God for DirecTV and the Sunday Ticket

Boy I do not miss the snow... its been 70 here for about a week now...

The storm formed further east so we didn't get hit with an "epic" blizzard. However, it's cold as hell and the wind is whipping pretty good.
We got about 3" in Monroe and may get a few more.

NYC dodged the bullet.  

We had Snowmaggedon out here in Chicago 4 years ago, and trust me, you guys don't want to go through that. You can't just plow the stuff, you have to scoop it all up and haul it away too. It's murder on the Sanitation Dept. Manhattan and the East coast has had more than its share of big snowstorms the last few years, but 2-3 feet of it would've been a major headache.

well i got the day off from work but the storm was a major letdown. of course, i live in the city so i don't have to deal with shoveling out my car and walkways.

We got a good bit of it, but between us and the coast, they got even more.

Thankfully, we only saw about 8 inches where I am in Jersey. Glad to hear that everyone is okay.

hope all is safe, this blizzard was a bigger bust than Vernon Gholston.
