One of the best games a Jets safety ever played

Would be nice if we struck gold with an outcast from another team. It was a rare site to see a Jet defensive back actually hold on to an interception, twice. The ball is usually like kryptonite to our CB's and safety's. Looking forward to seeing if he's the real thing.

I went back and looked at his scouting report coming out of college (Temple), and the only real negative was that he didn't possess elite speed (4.65 - 40yd). Said he was instinctive and smart player, which was on display in the Steeler game. Sometimes smart and instinctive is a very good thing, because being in the right spot is better than having to run to the right spot.

He was a 2nd round draft pick. Obviously, there was something there. After a game like that, he earned playing time.

Wonder why the Eagles would dump a 2nd round pick being a safety ? It usually takes a safety 2-3 years to catch on ? Their loss and our gain. Wonder how many other good players are sitting on our bench or P.S. ?
