Per Manish's tweet, John Conner is signing with the NYJ...again.

A FB that can't catch is worthless ! At least T-Bo had great hands. Waste of a 53 slot IMO.

That could be the case. I don't know how many FB are available. I'll give T-Bo some kudos for returning after cracking his collarbone.

Being a Wake-Forest homer, I would have signed Nikita Whitlock 5'10"/248 FB off the Cowboy's P.S.. This kid was all ACC NT in College, but because of his size & desire, he switched positions before the Combines. I watched this kid @ the WF Combines, and not only did he put up 225 32 times, he can also bench press over 500 pounds.

He caught every pass thrown to him @ the Combine. Most of the Scouts were there to see Michael Campanaro WR; however, most of the scouts attention focused on Whitlock after his weight room showing. This kid is an ANIMAL !

The New York Jets brought fullback John Conner back into the fold this week after Tommy Bohanon got hurt. Connor thinks he may be in for a bigger role this time around.

“It seems like the fullback will be used a little bit more, in more versatile situations, more passing situations, more carrying situations,” Conner said. “So we’ll see.”

However, the stats don't necessarily suggest a bigger role in the offense under Marty Mornhinweg, who took over as offensive coordinator last season.

"Bohanon played 19.2 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps in the first four games, according to Pro Football Focus, including 25 percent against the Lions, when he stayed in the game after getting hurt," wrote Darryl Slater of NJ.com.

"Last season, according to PFF, Bohanon played 378 offensive snaps. He carried the ball on 17 of them, ran a pass route on 118, served as a run blocker on 188 and was a pass blocker on 55. Bohanon got 35.2 percent of the Jets’ offensive snaps in 2013.

"In 2011, Conner’s final full season with the Jets, he got the exact same number of snaps – 378. He was in for 33.5 percent of the action. He got 13 carries, 96 pass routes, 219 run-blocking opportunities and 50 snaps as a pass blocker."

It's possible that Connor could sneak in a goal-line touchdown at some point, but he will spend nearly all of his time blocking for his running backs and protecting Geno Smith.
