Seeing as how much Salas brings to the table as a #2-3 WR and how little Nelson does, would have we been better off keeping Hill to keep opposing secondaries honest?

Re: Stephen Hill - any regrets?
hill can't even make an active roster in the nfl right now. any team that wanted to put him on their active roster could do so today. he is sitting on the panthers practice squad, and it's not like the panthers are loaded at WR.
according to their team website, the WRs on their roster are kelvin benjamin, jerricho cotchery, jason avant, brenton bersin and philly brown. so that's one stud rookie WR, two greybeards and 2 guys i never heard of. if he can't help them out, i'm not so sure he could help us out.

Re: Stephen Hill - any regrets?
No, the only regret I have was drafting him in the second round. If he was a 5th rounder or later,
no one would care.
Although, until we consistent QB play, it's hard to judge any receiver on this team.
*I'm not turning this into a "Geno" thread.*

I agree with this. Although, you could also say this, until we consistent WR play, it's hard to judge any QB on this team.

Re: Stephen Hill - any regrets?
I realize the entire Hill experiment was painful, but our lack of a downfield threat continues to be a glaring weakness. It's also frustrating how MM can't figure out a way to get a Hakim, Kerley or Johnson some big splash plays.

Throw in Saunders for the 5 minutes we had him...

Re: Stephen Hill - any regrets?
My biggest complaint about Jet WR's is, they get no separation from the DB's. At least Hill was a deep threat on any given play. At 6'4" with 4.3 speed, we currently don't have a WR with that size & speed. And from what I'm hearing here in Carolina, the Panthers are high on Hill's potential.

That was my thought. My only regret was they wasted a pick on him.

I don't regret the pick, just the way he was handled here.
