I've been on board with all the first round Defensive players selected for awhile now and my first instinct was to continue to go that route (CB) when I first saw this thread. Then I remembered all those late round defensive secondary success stories that Idzik was part of at Seattle and I shifted to getting a dynamic WR as our #1. Yet I admit that at this point I wouldn't know who fits that mold, especially considering who would still be available when we pick, so late in the first round Very Happy  .

If it is a late pick, maybe a big fatty C/G to bolster the depth/future at the core of that O line. Again, not sure who that would be... guess I need to study  as I don't watch college football like I used to.

Which ones will be available with the 32nd pick?  If none, no need to start worrying about the draft till after the parade.  See you all there (we should have our own float).

First off, the Jets are NOT picking 32nd.They'll be picking at #29, because Mr. Smith ain't going to Washington, OR Phoenix, except as a spectator.

    AT #29, the Jets need:
#1 - A QB, a FRANCHISE QB, capable of taking the Jets to Washington, or wherever the Super Bowl is being played after he takes over and wins the AFCC game.
Early Prospects: (top 3 out of the Jets' reach, AGAIN)
    Jr. Mariota (Oregon)
So. "famous" Jameis Winston (Florida St.)
    Jr. Brett Hundley (UCLA)
    Jr. Kevin Hogan (Stanford)
    Sr. Bryce Petty (Baylor)
    Sr. Sean Mannion (Oregon St.)
    Jr. Connor Cook (Michigan St.)

Hella note when 5 of the 7 top QB prospects are all underclassmen.
In a year's time these kids will be torn to shreds and somebody like TCU's Matt Joeckel will be wearing the jock strap everyone wants a sniff of.  Best QB class since 2012's.

    #2 - a TRUE #1 WR, to compliment Decker.
    Early Prospects:
Really, there is no contest here, Oklahoma's Dorial Green-Beckham is THE go-to top WR in the 2015 class. 6'-5" | 225# | 4.38s speed against the wind in a hurricane, with a Missouri State Penitentiary ball & chain shackled to his right leg.
If he isn't the 1st WR picked, HYATT™ will EAT Matt Joeckel's jock strap - unless he gets arrested again for the FOURTH time in 3 years for batting a woman down a stairway with the stray pound of weed he keeps stashed under his front car seat for just such emergencies. (Yes, he 99% shirley hadda rat out his dealer to get off on a SECOND pot arrest in 16 months.)

Sammie Coates (Auburn-groan) 6'-1.5" | 200# lightening bolt with 4.24s speed, a FORTY FOUR (44") inch vertical, and who can bench FOUR HUNDRED POUNDS!
Countries have manufactured WMDs with less punch.

Jordan Taylor (Rice) heady white boy who can get his 6'-5" | 210# frame up to cruising speed in decent enough time, (4.45s), and produce 800+ yards & 8 TDs at the NCAA level.

Jaelen Strong (AZ St.) 6'-4" 212# loper with 4.45s speed that had (7) 100 yard games last season.

Darren Waller - next 6'-5" | 232# GT "project" WR, with 4.42s speed and character issues to go along with it this time. Caught 17 balls for 367 yards and 3 TDs last year.

#3 - A REAL TE. Sorry Amaro is a glorified blocking FB with stone hands, he never should have gotten half of the hype he did.
    EARLY PROSPECTS:
Screw it, just draft Waller, pin a TE label on him and feed him lots of snickers bars to get his weight up to 250#. Half the top TE prospects are within a postage stamp of that anyway & a phuque of a lot slower. GT WRs are all good blockers at least, since they've never heard of the forward pass down there.

#4 - OL - A MONSTER LG and a better RT, not to mention better depth. Bulldozer can MAYBE take over at LG, but RG isn't working on a Pro Bowl bid either.
Problem is, the 2014 draft used them all up. All the leading 2015 OL players look like Tarzan, but run like Jane - with her loinskin down around her ankles.

#5 - A real BeasTModE RB of their own?
Jets could get 4.42s GA RB Todd Gurley in Rd 1, as RBs are devalued big-rime these days. A Ground & Pound team really should have a RB capable of more than 3 yards and a clouds of dust, to go along with CJ2k's zippity do dah. In fact, draft a pair & slice $8M off the payroll by dumping both Ivory and Johnson. GA has ANOTHER 4.40s RB with stock on the rise - Keith Marshall - and unlike the OTHER GA team, (Tech), the Bulldawgs actually commit a forward pass on occasion.

Oh, like ANY response to this thread after the NCAA season is barely underway, Senior season reputations of prospects have not even begun to be made to destroyed, and the draft being over NINE MONTHS away, ISN'T going to be garbage?

Why, exactly DID you post in this thread, if all you wanted was to dump on anyone kind enough to bother doing any research this phukin early? Shocked

He's not as big as Julio but he's a more fluid and natural receiver.  Someone in the last ga,e said he reminded them of Reggie Wayne and I think that is a pretty good analogy. Personally he remind me of Irving Fryar just the way he runs

Darby or Diggs would be my top 2 choices.

Reuniting Diggs and McDougle would be pretty cool.
