Frustrating things to be writing about Jace Amaro and Jeff Cumberland in this week's passing game breakdown #Jets

My guess is Cumberland got so many snaps because he was being asked to help the OL due to fact it needs all the help it can get, especially against a pass rush like KC has. I haven't watched the film though, so could be off base here.

Gia has been a D+/C- in the passing game at RT, so you're probably right.

We cant unleash Amaro because the oline we've assembled the last 2 seasons stink (Winters, Colon, And Gia).

I am sure that is probably the case but IMO no reason why we couldn't have run more 2 TE stuff to get Amaro more snaps as productive as he has been when on the field.

Jeff Cumberland has run the 7th most pass routes (254) for a TE. More than these notables: J. Thomas, J. Graham, R. Gronkowski. #NYJ

Remains looking like the most solid addition from this draft class. Has to make the all rookie team!

Amaro dropped an easy pass today, but he also caught the TD showing great feet at the back of the endzone, and had a nice catch and run nullified by a bogus penalty against Cumberland. I like Amaro. He's gonna help us.

Amaro looks a little pudgy / fat to me ? Lose ten pounds of fat, get him in the weight room and hitting the JUGS machine every chance he gets, and he'll have serious potential.

Yeah that 21 yard catch and run was Bucephalus. I thought Cumberland accidentally ran into him but just another head scratcher. He should have made that catch on the sideline, but gotta expect those once in a while I guess.

Amaro has played 43% of O snaps, only 43 targets & generally poor QB play. 34 recs/2 TDs. What is production at 70% of snaps/more targets?

I think so, and he could've done it this year if given the chance.

Amaro had 38 catches on 53 targets (72%), in 14 games & playing 34% of the offensive snaps, with subpar QB play. Can he catch 60 next year?

There is no doubt in my mind he is going go be a stud for years to come.
