Of course, I will be rooting for whoever is playing the Patriots as well. I also like the Packers, because Aaron Rodgers is just so good at QB. I think Seattle has to be the favorite at this point, but I don't follow the Vegas line, so could be off there.

2015 NFL Playoff thread
Now that the final 8 teams are set, do you have a favorite? I am kind of liking Cy's other team, the Panthers. Love the way their defense is playing, and if Newton can just play within himself, they should have enough weapons on offense to do some damage. Cam is obviously hurting, so kinda hard to root against him out there.

Colts, Pack, Cats...Anyone but the Pats. A nightmare would be a Pats/Boys SB.

Re: 2015 NFL Playoff thread
I'd like to see Luck continue to elevate his game to elite status. He's a special talent out there. I hope they continue looking for RBs in the off season, because I kind of feel bad for the guy for having to carry the offense so much. I think every QB left in the play-offs have a better run game than he does...
Really hope Ravens take care of pats in NE like they usually do this weekend...

My vote went to the Colts. They have long been the non Jets team I like to see go well. It started in my teen years I liked Bert Jones game and now Luck is there to root for.

Re: 2015 NFL Playoff thread
i voted for the packers. i could have voted for the colts, but their owner is a clown and i don't want to see him win this year.
obviously i can't root for the patriots. can't root for the broncos (still pissed at peyton manning for not going pro when the jets had the #1 pick). and while i don't hate the ravens like a lot of people (and i like all things harbaugh these days), they didn't get my vote. on the nfc, can't root for the cowboys. don't mind seattle, but they won last year. and i think cam newton is a bit of an arse (can't stand the superman crap), so they don't get my vote.
so by process of elimination, i'm rooting for the cheeseheads.

LOL, Even though I live in NC, and my old company has 4 killer PSL seats of which I've attended numerous games, I don't want any of my Jet family to think I'm another Hyatt, that loves multiple teams (Packers, Jets, Jags). I don't go or post on the Panther board. They don't even know who I am.
Now that we have my team loyalty down, I will be rooting for the Panthers. They are quite the underdog story, losing Jordan Gross LT to an unexpected early retirement, then more injuries than most NFL teams, Cam's bad car accident and broken back, and now HC Ron Riveria's home burning down last week. That just sounds like a story to good to be true. I do realistically think their chances are slim to none beating the World Champs in their home stadium, and now their stud DT Star Lotulelei is out with a broken foot.
Besides rooting for the biggest underdog the Panthers, I will root for any team facing the Patriots.
Go Jets...Cyborg

Ravens going through the Patriots defense like it's a pre-game drill. Baltimore's OL is stoning the NE pass rush right now, and Flacco is dialed in.

Re: 2015 NFL Playoff thread
Patriots answer with a long drive of their own, Ravens are moving the ball again, but now Steve Smith looks to have suffered a serious leg injury of some kind. 14-7 Ravens.
Edit: he's walking around pretty good now.

Re: 2015 NFL Playoff thread
Tempers are flaring on both sides. Brady flips out after he doesn't get a PF call on the guy who sacks him. His ST responds with a taunting penalty on the punt. This should be a good game. Ravens have the upper hand here psychologically.

John Harbough doesn't get enough credit for how well his teams are coached. He almost knock Belichick out in New England annually and still no one gives him credit...but Beli-cheat is regarded as the greatest coach of all time but hasnt won a SB since he got caught cheating. Wonder when John starts getting talked about as a top coach in the league?

Ravens' secondary might be worse than ours. Terrible tackling. 14-14.

See if Flacco can get the Ravens offense back on track after a couple of drives ended in punts.

Momentum has shifted to NE. Ravens cannot allow them to score a TD here before the half.

Re: 2015 NFL Playoff thread
That INT was pretty huge. Patriots were a solid bet to get in FG range at least. Now the Ravens are almost in range her with half a minute left in the half.
