As I said on the other thread, I assume Elway thought he was going to lose Adam Gase and decided to clear a path for the top spot.

Word was Peyton is very close to Gase and if they lost him to another team it was more likely Peyton would retire

I hope we have no interest in bring him here at this point due to his age and health issues

Nick, John Fox just leap frogged all the other HC candidates. If he's healthy and wants to continue HC he is a fantastic coach. I watched him take an average Panther team above all expectations. Players love Foxy and let's them know what he expects in return. Fantastic coach.

Cy I agree he is a top notch coach but for me personally starting over now I do not want someone who turns 60 in Feb. and has had heart issues in the past

I like Fox, but as a backup plan to Quinn. Quinn is my top choice right now, and I don't see Fox leapfrogging him.

Best news for the Jets is that, as Seattle's playoff run goes deeper, there are backup plans out there in Marrone and Fox.

John Fox declined HC interview with Jets, per NFL source. Hard to imagine turning down one HC chance unless there's real chance for another.

Not a surprise that Casserly reached out to Fox. Leaving no stone unturned. #nyj

No offense Cy I love you brother but even if you were 15 years younger and in great health I wouldn't want you as HC  rotflmao
