Once Doug Marrone opted out of his Buffalo contact, he became the overwhelming favorite to be hired as the next Jets coach

We're lining up the gm's he'd like to work with and vice versa in Mike Maccagnan, Rick Mueller, and Ryan Pace. Marrone hated the Bills gm, so I don't see him going to a team that doesn't have a natural fit at gm.

GM-1st
Coach-2nd.
Just so that the media has one less topic to hold against the Jets.

Dan that may be the case. If it is do you think that would stop clowns like Mehta from writing that the Jets are lying and trying to make fools of their fans whether he could prove it or not. It is no win for Woody no matter how he handles it if he ends up hiring Marrone.
