IMO, OL - specifically Guard is a premium need. Can't develop a QB when he is running for his life. What the Jets have now at Guard should be rated no higher than backup depth. They need starters. You build from the inside out. Good protection will prevent a lot of bad choices by a young QB.

I tend to agree on Sarge's take on the WRs, but disagree with the TE's. I think Cumberland is a waste of roster space and would rather have Pantale on the active roster as blocking type. Plus Pantale flashed in preseason as a credible receiver. I would also not be surprised to see one of the 3 stud OTs in this years draft pool as our #1.

Agreed.  I really dont think Idzik has the testicles to make a move on Mariota, so he'll take the fat chick in the corner. I expect another conservative pick and we go oline.

I heard last year's draft class was stacked at WR while this year's isn't...man, too bad we didn't use some of those 12 picks to upgrade that area...would have been...smart... affraid

We used 4 of the picks to upgrade the receiving corps. One is working out okay, one sucked and was cut, one got hurt, and one is on the practice squad

Also wouldn't be real surprised to see the OLB - Gregory picked if available when our turn comes up.

Has Gregory DE 6'6"/240 declared to enter the draft being a junior ? If so, do we risk turning another DE into an OLB, or just draft someone like Vic Beasley 6'2"/240 ?

Some interesting thoughts on filling out/revamping the 2015 roster. Interestingly, it assumes that Rex would be back.

A good point Cy, but his dimensions seem to indicate more OLB than DE. It seems as though we have always been deficient in pass coverage from the 4 LB positions, and to be honest I'm not certain how either of the two are able to handle coverage responsibilities. I believe Gregory would be a better fit in Rex's schematic, but maybe its' time for a change in how we look at the position.

We have a rookie WR working out ok? Oh, you must mean our TE Amaro.
